A body-led, verbal therapy for moments of change, uncertainty and becoming.
Focalizing™ is a trauma-informed somatic therapy that combines therapeutic dialogue with embodied awareness, supporting you to notice what your body may already know when life feels uncertain, overwhelming or in transition.
The work unfolds through curiosity, attentive presence and listening to what is happening beneath words, thoughts and immediate reactions.
What makes Focalizing™ different
Many people come to this work because talking hasn’t helped or because ways of revisiting the past have felt overwhelming or too much to hold.
Focalizing™ works with present-moment awareness rather than analysis and follows your body’s pace rather than imposing a technique or agenda. It creates space for change, even when words are hard to find.
Your body is already communicating through sensation, emotion, image and subtle shifts. In this work, these are not distractions but meaningful places to pause and listen.
Who Focalizing™ is for
You may be drawn to this work if you are:
Many people arrive at this work at a threshold, a place between what has been and what is not yet clear.
This work can help you stay alongside yourself in that space, without needing immediate answers or resolution.

How Focalizing™ sessions work
Sessions are primarily verbal and begin with whatever feels important, difficult, unclear or alive for you that day.
Together, we explore what may be sitting beneath familiar reactions, overwhelm or uncertainty, allowing space for sensations, emotions, memories, images and subtle shifts to emerge and be noticed.
As we stay with your experience in this way, something that has been held such as tension, emotion, uncertainty or unfinished experience, may begin to shift, settle or make more sense.
Over time, this work can help you develop a greater capacity to recognise your patterns, respond to yourself differently and move through life with more steadiness, clarity, flexibility and self-trust.
I accompany the process with attentive presence, supporting you to stay connected to your experience without pressure to force insight, change or resolution.
Sessions are available online and in person and typically last 60 minutes.
Please see more offerings on the Integrative Therapy Sessions page.

Background and influences
Focalizing™ sits within a wider field of somatic and experiential therapies, with roots in approaches such as Somatic Experiencing, Focusing and mindfulness.
In my practice, it is informed by my training in Embodiment Coaching (Mark Walsh, CEC) and shaped through many years of working with the body across movement, bodywork and somatic traditions.
